Sona Antonyan

Education:

M.Ed. in Mathematics and Computer Science Education

M.Ed. in Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation

Sona comes from a teachers family, so it's no surprise that she found her passion in teaching as well. Sona began teaching simultaneously with earning her degree, and excelled enough to become a licensed teacher's trainer. She became involved with experiments to create methods that would enhance students' engagement with mathematics. After immigrating to the United States, she began to study and work at Boston College, supervising future teachers' practicums in public schools. Sona discovered RSM through her colleagues and soon began to teach at the school. When offered the opportunity to lead the soon-to-be-opened RSM Lexington, she "didn't hesitate a minute!" she says

Wing Liang

Education:

M.S. in Applied Statistics

B.A. in Architecture

B.S. in Mathematics and Economics

Ever since she can remember, Ms. Wing has always had an interest in numbers, and she feels certain that this is something she want to do in her future. She has so many interests, but all of them are related to numbers, are about math. Miss Wing has been tutoring younger students and college students since she was in high school, and she has found that by using number substitution and simple diagrams would help students better understanding Algebra and Calculus. She has developed her own style of teaching skills at a homeschool while she was in college, and later she learns that is exactly what RSM has been expressing.

Leah Boylan

Education:

B.S. in Pure Mathematics

Ms. Leah has taught for Johns Hopkins' summer programs for years, and has worked in Philadelphia public high schools to bring students up to speed. She is looking to create a math classroom with an atmosphere of infectious enthusiasm. With her experience in middle and high school, Ms. Leah has learned that mathematics does not have to be a static, disjointed subject built for memorization, but rather a fluid, dynamic structure that is made to be used and is of utmost importance in every person’s life. It is this perspective that has brought her to RSM.
