After completing your online application you will receive a first email confirming the application. Once your enrollment is processed, you will receive a second e-mail confirming your child’s spot in the class and providing your Smart Tuition Family ID and instructions to log into the Smart Tuition website (your account with Smart Tuition is automatically created).

Please remember that an application alone does not guarantee you a spot in one of our classes. Your child will be first placed on the wait list. A registration fee is required in order for class placement to be finalized and your child's account to be activated. 

Once you registration is complete, expect to receive a welcome email with the link to Student Portal a few weeks before your child's first class. 

Registration Fee

All students (both new, continuing and those in tutoring) are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee. 
This fee reserves a student's place in class and covers the class materials for the year.
There is NO registration fee for all of our summer programs (including Summer School and Camp Sunapee)

  • $100 for students starting in September through December
  • $80 for students starting January through March and
  • $40 for students starting after April.

Tuition & Payment Policies

RSM has partnered with Smart Tuition, a tuition management company, to allow our parents more flexibility in paying their tuition and fees.  You will receive your family id and Smart Tuition login instructions when you register at RSM. With your login you can access your billing statements and payment history, or make a payment online at any time. 

  • Payment Plans.  Smart Tuition offers two payment plans for the academic year:
    A Semester Plan. Fall tuition (Sep to Jan) is due by Aug 1st & Spring Tuition (Feb to Jun) is due by Jan 1st. 
    A Monthly Plan. Tuition is due on Aug 1, Sep 1, Oct 1, Nov 1, Dec 1, Jan 1, Feb 1, Mar 1, and Apr 1. Each payment covers 4 lessons.  Please note that due to the extra invoices, Smart Tuition does charge a $46 administration fee (per family, per year) for the monthly plan.
  • Tuition is Charged One Month Ahead. Regardless of payment plan, all tuition is charged one month ahead (so for example October tuition will be charged no later than September 1st, and September tuition is due in August). Charging one month ahead allows RSM to plan ahead and enforce our cancellation policy. The registration fee, tuition for the partial month and tuition the following month are due before the 2nd lesson. All other tuition will be charged based on the payment plan selected.
  • Joining Mid-Year. For students joining us mid-year, tuition is pro-rated based on the lesson they start at RSM. The registration fee, tuition for the partial month and the following month and is due before the first lesson. All other tuition will be charged on the 1st of the month based on the payment plan selected. For example, a student that joins on November 15th will be charged for the two remaining lessons in November along with the 4 lessons in December. Their next bill will be on December 1st and cover January.
  • Late Fees.  All payments are due on the 1st of the month. A $35 late payment fee is applied to your account if payment is not received by Smart Tuition by the 5th of the month.  Aside from students who joined mid-month, for whom payment is due before their 1st lesson, Smart Tuition will automatically send an invoice to families who owe a payment 2 to 3 weeks before a payment is due. 
  • Payment Methods. SmartTuition can process payment by mail, online or over the phone via a check, bank account or credit card. Payments by check or ACH debit are free, but Smart Tuition does charge a  2.65% credit card processing fee for credit card payments. Visa credit and debit cards are not accepted by Smart Tuition. SmartTuition can also process cash payments, but will charge a $4.99 fee for cash payments of up to $1,000. 
  • Paying By Check.  Smart Tuition offers both a 24 hour automated telephone payment method and accepts checks by mail. If paying by check please include the Family ID in the memo field.

  • Returned Check or Failed ACH Fee. A $30 failed debit fee will be charged for each returned check or failed auto-debit. Please be careful when entering your routing and account numbers online.


Withdrawal, Refunds, and Cancellation Policy

We are committed to making sure every child has a great experience at RSM. Sometimes we may need to work together to find the right class options for your child. Please get in touch with us early if you have concerns about your child’s progress or are in any way dissatisfied

We believe that Mathematics cannot be taught in the space of a few lessons and we ask that continuing students familiar with RSM make at least a term based commitment to the program and will only refund tuition for continuing students during the first six lessons of the year (see below). 

If you do decide to withdraw your child from school, please email our school with:

  • Your child's full name
  • The date of the last class he/she attended
  • The reason for withdrawal.

We always appreciate any feedback, so please tell us your honest feedback.

Withdrawal Policy For New Students

Cancellation policies are determined by student status at the time of withdrawal. Students are considered new during their first 5 months at RSM. After that, all students are considered to be continuing/returning.

New students can cancel their enrollment any time during their first 4 months (within the first 16 lessons). Your child may attend the next 4 classes following the cancellation notice. Any remaining tuition (after the 4 lessons) will be refunded. The registration fee WILL NOT be refunded. 

 Withdrawal Policy For Continuing Students

Continuing students refund amount is prorated based on the time of the withdrawal. Please see details below:

Refund of the Fall Term (September - January) will be processed only after the school receives a written notification as follows:

  • 100% of tuition (all 5 months) is refunded if the cancellation notification is received before the start of classes
  • 80% of tuition (the last 4 months) is refunded if the cancellation notification is received before the secondlesson
  • 60% of tuition (the last 3 months) is refunded if the notification is received before the third lesson
  • 40% of tuition (the last 2 months) is refunded if the notification is received before the fourth lesson
  • 20% of tuition (the last month) is refunded if the notification is received before the sixth lesson
  • There are NO REFUNDS for the Fall semester after the 6th lesson

For continuing students withdrawing during the Spring Term (February - June), a FULL REFUND will be issued if a withdrawal notice is received by Lesson 20.  After Lesson 20 no refunds will be issued for the Spring Term.

Parent Responsibility

Parents of the online student will be responsible for creating a comfortable learning environment that is quiet and free of distractions.

The online nature of the course requires other special considerations. There is no anonymity in our physical classrooms and there will be none in our online environment. Children will be addressed by name and be asked to share a live video of themselves with their classmates.

Parents are fully responsible for children’s behavior and safety while in the virtual classroom. Children are expected to behave as if they were taking classes in person, always treating teachers and peers with dignity and respect.

We  work with the students individually to identify and mitigate any technical issues. We reserve the right to exclude candidates based on class capacity or technology considerations.  

School Cancellations

 In the event of school cancellations due to inclement weather, a cancellation notice will be posted on our website by 2pm EDT on weekdays and by 8am EDT on weekends or sent to your email address. Cancellations may not coincide with those of your town, Newton or RSM Newton.

In case of unexpected power or network outages, RSM-Online class may get cancelled without notice. 

All class cancellations will be made up. 

Enrollment Priority

Online classes have a very limited capacity. RSM will consider applications in the order in which the original request was received. Preference will be given to former RSM students who cannot continue their education in RSM due to relocation. 

Students who live closer than 15 miles from local RSM branches are not eligible for RSM-Online admission.   

 Privacy Policy

We do not allow parents to be present during the online lesson or to make recordings of the lessons. The parents of our students did not give us their permission to make the pictures and videos of their kids public or to let an adult to be present during the the class.

Please treat an online class in the same way you would treat a regular class. If you do not follow your kid in the regular classroom, please do not do it in the online classroom as well.
